Simply the brainwash was so complete that it created slave Aureus into a new world where the rules, laws and indoctrination’s had to be obeyed, ongoing daily whippings & torture further imprinted the indoctrination. An error or incursion gained was such a crime that the penalty to be paid, the slave never made it again.
